Today I sat outside in my hammock and just thought about alot of things that hve happened in life recently. I had my headphones in my ears and my ipod set on shuffle. Out of no where, I've Been Watching You came on and started playing. I let the song play and just looked up at the blue sky and random clouds and sang along. It was Lee's favorite song, and I started to cry a little, not because I was sad, but because he was just so young and had so much to offer. It just makes me so sad to know that him and Sean are gone and I'll never be able to see their smiling, happy faces again. I just remember reading this:

A New York State Police scuba team recovered the body of Sean W. Cornell, 20, of Manchester Center, Vt., on Sunday.

Cornell and Lee Walker, 18, of Enosburg Falls, Vt., died in a boating accident on Friday night. Both were students at Paul Smith's College.

Walker's body was found by divers late Saturday afternoon.

"Our entire community is deeply saddened by this loss," said John Mills, the College's president. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of both these young men."

Mills was joined by other faculty and staff members in leading a community gathering on Sunday morning on campus. About 900 people attended the gathering. The service, which honored both Cornell and Walker, also noted the exemplary work done by the New York State Police and other agencies that responded to the incident, as well as the swift actions by Paul Smith's students who were the first on the scene Friday.

The accident occurred when six students took a pair of canoes onto Lower St. Regis Lake, which is adjacent to the College's campus. Both canoes overturned. Four of the students returned safely to shore. The State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.

Three other students who fell into the lake when the canoes tipped were taken to the Adirondack Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

Responding agencies included the New York State Police; the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; the Paul Smiths-Gabriels, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake fire departments; and the College's Department of Campus Safety.

A search for the missing students continued on Saturday morning as DEC rangers combed the shore and a State Police helicopter crew and scuba divers searched the lake.

Students are being asked to continue their overwhelming support for one another during this time of need. Please remember that the College will continue to provide counseling services throughout most of the evening. Students wishing to speak with someone from counseling services can come to the Student Center or contact their RA.

It just kills me how something so beautiful as the lake that I wake up to every morning can turn so ugly in such a short amount of time. Those guys never really knew how I felt about them, I wasn't the closest with them, but I still called them friends and still cared for them. I just wish none of this ever happened, but then again, who doesn't? But there in a happier place, they've been put to rest, and there in a place that never gets ugly like it does down here.

I love you Lee and Sean and I want you to know that the Smitties at PSC will never forget you. You'll always be loved and will always and forever be in my heart.
